Development of Economic Clusters: To operate on economics of scale and to make focused interventions in the selected areas, several clusters are being developed by RMoL in collaboration with concerned government departments and the specialized NGOs in the areas. Important clusters being promoted are: Sheep cluster in Bikaner, Dairy cluster in Tonk, Fishery cluster in Banswada and Small and Micro Enterprises for tribals in Udaipur.
Rajasthan Institute of Security Education: The growing economy in the state has led to an increase in the demand of the security personnel. To make use of the opportunities created, setting up of Rajasthan Institute of Security Education (RISE) is being initiated, where in youth can do certified courses in security services and get employed.
Construction Academy: The construction sector has emerged as a major employer in the recent years. However, people engaged in the construction sector come from the lowest rungs of the society and do not get any institutional opportunity to upgrade their skill. Thus, setting up of a Construction Academy is in process so as to offer courses in different traits of construction sector.
Rural Employment Exchange: To offer the employment as well as employability services to the rural youth, a new generation Rural Employment Exchange (REX) that is IT based and offers a gamut of services was set up at Dausa on a pilot basis. Services such as registration, resume building, counseling, skill training, loan facilitation and placement etc are being offered. Looking at the success of the pilot model, REX is now being established at seven divisional headquarters.
Livelihood services to migrants in destination area: Migration has become a means of livelihood for a large no of people in the state. However, there are several social costs involved in the process. Thus, on a pilot basis services - such as registration, counseling, skill training, placement, legal awareness etc. - are being offered at the source areas and destination areas to migrants in Dungarpur.
Financial Literacy: Under this initiative financial literacy programmes are being done for 10000 women in district Tonk. 50% of the women among these will belong to minority communities.
Convergance of Livelihood Programmes in districts: To look at the options of convergence of various livelihood programmes in a district, five select districts have been chosen on a pilot basis and RMoL officials placed in these districts. These officials work in close coordination with the district administration.
